In a proud moment for the SK United Football Club based in Ahmedabad, two players of the club have been selected for the upcoming Mumbai Football League 2023-24 season.
The two players – Megh Patel (10 years) and Avijeet Giri (10 years) are the first and only players from the state to have been selected for the revered tournament, which is the biggest one in Mumbai. SK United Football Club is a leading football coaching academy of Gujarat, situated in Ahmedabad.
The two players not just delivered an exceptional performance as they played for the Mumbai Youth Cup this year but also bagged coveted awards for the tournament.
While Megh was awarded the Best Player of the Tournament Award along with the Top (Goal) Scorer badge in the tournament, Avijeet Giri was declared as the emerging player of the tournament.
The achievement of the two young boys has brought laurels to SKU Football Club.
“The students have indeed made us proud and their achievements and awards bear testimony to our coaching and relentless efforts of our coach in honing their skills in the game,” said a spokesperson of SK United Football Club.
Meanwhile, SKU Football Club also recently announced that four of its players – Aarav Bhatt, Dron Patel, Rudra Chokshi and Shourya Panchal – have also made it to the team of Mumbai Youth League.
The four players will participate in the upcoming season of the Mumbai Youth League 2023-24.
