Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT) is going to organize its 13th Convocation on Saturday, 6th of January 2024. Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan will be the Chief Guest and deliver the convocation addresss. Surendrabhai Patel, President, CHARUSAT will preside over the convocation ceremony, says a university release.
In total 2,727 students of various disciplines, including 44 gold medalists and 43 PhD graduates are going to be awarded degrees in thuis grand convocation. 158 students of Faculty of Pharmacy, 297 of Faculty of Sciences, 304 of Faculty of Medical Sciences, 323 of Faculty of Management Studies, 516 of Faculty of Computer Sciences and Applications and 1,129 of six different branches of Faculty of Technology and Engineering and 43 PhD graduates will be conferred degrees and blessed for a bright future.
It is to be noted here that whereas it is a trend to award gold-plated medals elsewhere, at CHARUSAT all the Medals are made of real gold and will be conferred with certificates. Students and their parents will be provided with hospitality and special attention.
The convocation ceremony symbolizes the shift from student life to the professional realm, signifying a pivotal moment for individuals as they achieve a substantial academic milestone.
