It is a matter of great pleasure that under the guidance of NDDB, NDDB Mrida Ltd and Sistema.bio, the Gobar Se Samriddhi programme is being launched today. Our farmers will get biogas plant by spending just Rs 6,000. The slurry processing plant will also provide additional income opportunities to farmers through organic fertilisers. I have full faith that this model of Kolhapur and Pune Milk Union will become an inspiration to other dairy cooperatives. NDDB’s manure value chain model will improve soil health and is a boon for rural women.”
Rupala appreciated NDDB and MDFVPL for implementing the first Shishu Sanjeevani programme in aspirational district of Gadchiroli. He said that NDDB-developed Shishu Sanjeevani is an energy dense fortified nutritional supplement expected to address the issue of malnutrition covering anganwadi children aged 04-06 years and the first manufacturing plant has been installed at Bhandara Dudh Sangh.

NDDB’s subsidiary NDDB MRIDA Ltd is promoting biogas along with efficient utilisation of slurry. NDDB Mrida Ltd’s initiatives will help farmers become independent of their cooking fuel needs and reduce their dependency on chemical fertilisers. This will also reduce global greenhouse gas emissions, promote sanitation at village level and lead us to the path of Swachh Bharat and Atmanirbhar Bharat.”
