AHMEDABAD, MAY 9
Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parshottam Rupala graced the yoga event conducted at the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Jetty, Porbandar on Monday. The event was organised by the Fishery Survey of India (FSI) in coordination with the Indian Coast Guard District Headquarters Number 1, Porbandar as part of countdown to International Yoga Day.

The event was made a great success with participation of approximately 200 participants, including personnel from the Indian Coast Guard, the Fishery Survey of India, Fisheries Department, local fishing community and the students from local educational institutes.
The Minister also visited Indian Coast Guard Ship Sarthak and FSI Vessel Matsya Vrushti berthed for the planned launch of “CCRF (Code of Conduct for Responsible Fishing) Orientation Programme”, an FSI initiative. The Minister appreciated the efforts put in by the ICG towards facilitating and making the drive successful.
