In alignment with the New Education Policy of the Union Government, the University of Wollongong (UOW), one of the first Australian universities to establish a teaching base in India, will commence its academic year on November 4 to churn out industry-ready professionals, said Kath McCollim, Executive Director of Global Student Recruitment at the University of Wollongong (UOW) here.
Speaking with Navjeevan Express correspondent, Kath McCollim said, “Commencing with November 4, 2024, UOW India will offer Master of Computing (Data Analytics), Graduate Certificate in Computing, Master of Financial Technology, extended Master of Financial Technology, and Graduate Certificate in Financial Technology. We have received over 700 applications for our two postgraduate programmes with intake capacity of 50 seats each. Our campus boasts of world-class amenities with excellent infrastructure and our faculties from other global campuses will take classes in this new campus. These programs are tailored to meet the demands of the global job market, preparing students for careers in high-growth sectors like data analytics and fintech. With GIFT City emerging as the global financial capital, we have tied up with many MNCs here to offer internship for our students so that they will become industry ready professionals once they complete their course.”
