Interview with Prashanth Nagaraj, Managing Partner:
Q: What specific qualities or characteristics do you believe set Woodpecker’s Coffee apart from other coffee brands in the market?
Prashanth Nagaraj: Woodpecker’s Coffee works on the concept of Farm to Cup. All our coffees are ground on order only to ensure you get the freshest coffee every time.
Q: Can you share any anecdotes or stories about the history and heritage of Woodpecker’s Coffee that you would like included in the article?
Prashanth Nagaraj: We are the 4th generation of coffee growers and traders from Sakleshpura in Karnataka. We grow both Arabica and Robusta and process them in washed and unwashed forms. In the earlier days, all the coffees grown by us were provided to the Central Coffee Board, which used to sell coffee as the markets were not decentralized until the 1990s. Once decentralized, we began supplying coffee to various bulk buyers and exporters, and now we offer the finest coffee under our own brand – Woodpecker’s Coffee.
Q: How do you envision the future of Woodpecker’s Coffee as it continues to grow and expand? Are there any new products or innovations in the pipeline that you would like to mention?
Prashanth Nagaraj: Woodpecker’s Coffee is constantly looking at innovative ways to ferment coffee, which results in a better cup of coffee while ensuring it is done in the most economically sustainable way.
Q: What marketing strategies have you found most effective so far, and what specific goals do you hope to achieve through this PR campaign?
Prashanth Nagaraj:Through this PR campaign, we aim to spread the name of our brand – Woodpecker’s Coffee, and increase traffic to our website. We also want to promote coffee culture in Northern India.
Q: Do you have any partnerships or collaborations with other businesses or influencers that we should highlight in the article to enhance brand visibility?
Prashanth Nagaraj: At our retail outlet in Bengaluru, Kannada movie and TV celebrities are regular buyers of our coffee. With the help of our website, we have supplied coffee to all states and islands in India. We also have some coffee connoisseurs in the USA, UK, and Australia who frequently buy our coffee.
