Urgent need in educational institutions to keep up with sci-tech growth

Scientific and technological progress has been accelerating in society all around the world. Starting from the mid- to late 1800s major discoveries in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science and Nuclear Science have further resulted in applications of the discoveries to technology and engineering fields.

Electronics is only an example of one that evolved, combined with material science gave rise to vacuum tubes, semiconductors, further in time the integrated circuit, microprocessors, telecommunications, fiber optics, batteries, low voltage and high voltage electrical energy generation, transmission and distribution to industries and residences changed the lifestyles of citizens staring from the countries that led and benefitted at the leading edge of the modern life styles.

Transportation by road, rail, rivers and oceans, and air made the world very different and advanced, compared to centuries in previous centuries. Improvements in healthcare for humans and domesticated animals were based on the understanding of the physiology and also the brain science, the so-called “mind-body” knowledge corpus.

These are only sections of the accelerated growth of the knowledge corpus based on the discoveries and innovation in a broad spectrum of disciplines, applied with components, parts, products, systems, automation, machines and nationwide as well as international supply chain has made the countries and the world what we are enjoying in the past decades.

Educational system not keeping pace with the times

Computing paradigms and communication techniques have changed, everyone or few decades, so have all other fields, yet our educational system even in the modernized world has not caught up at all, for known reasons that our education paradigm and techniques, as well as the curriculum, from the age 3 to late years in our life, especially in the schools, colleges, and universities even in the leading edge countries, Other countries and the peoples of the those nations are far behind.

It is imperative and urgent that we provide a positive impetus to the curriculum and guide the educational institutions to empower the students to be ready with the latest corpus of knowledge and practical practicable technology.

The argument applies not only fast improving and progressing electronics, computing, storage, cloud computing, the latest areas like Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), big data, IoT, edge processing and devices, giga-tera bit networking, memory and storage, and equal in value addition the human and animal health care, pharma, energy, transportation, social entrepreneurship, government agency administration and management, drones, defense technologies, aerospace, precision & automated agriculture, gardening, horticulture, herbal gardening, aeroponics, hydroponics, electric automobiles, nano-micro technology, nano-micro engineering, nano-micro productization, quantum computing, quantum communications and cryptography, cellular/WiFi, forestry, road, rail, air transport infrastructure, to name a few even after the preceding long list!

Formal courses, continuing education courses, certificate programs in colleges and universities, degree, masters and MBA type graduate courses should be taught, with substantially supplemented practicum, research and innovation programs, fully fortified with building solutions or at least learning by building or doing, traditionally called hands-on methods.

I want to quickly summarize the concept summary and theme of my many keynotes, lectures and featured talks, including me leading Who’s Who level experts speakers team in “around the world” lecture tours detailing the Triangular Strategic Alliance between the following three:

  • Universities, Colleges, R&D labs and the academia
  • Industries
  • Government Agencies at State and National Level

I incorporated with the same under current when I authored and presented a series of National Holistic Strategy for India and also USA. I documented the theme in three formats:

  • Two page executive summary one for each of the many national holistic strategies
  • Average 150 slides per vertical
  • Detailed knowledge corpus that was completely original and detailed, all created by me and generated by me, all alone, my brain dump, and NOT a google search style most scholars and practitioners resort to most of the time.
  • I presented the Indian National Holistic Strategy in nine distinct verticals to the decision makers and leaders identified by the newly elected Prime Minister of India in March 2014, before his election in May 2014.

I have similarly presented the US National Holistic Strategy in some verticals to the military apex leaders in the USA in April 2014.

I invite experts fully blessed with intense enthusiasm to join hands in further detailed deliberations. I will gladly be the anchor for the worthy program, and create a team of thought leaders and experts in different fields.
