CHENNAI, JULY 17
Utkarsh Classes and Edutech has announced on Sunday its first flagship event – the ‘Teaching Talent Hunt’ Show for all the talented teachers across India who are willing to teach the young minds in our country.
The ‘Teaching Talent Hunt’ is India’s first online competition show by an EdTech player providing the largest student audience platform through YouTube live. This show is a unique competition to bring out the hidden teaching talents in India, and give them a chance to showcase their expertise and strength in any given subject matter. The ‘Teaching Talent Hunt’ show is all set to go live from the 20th of July 2022.
- Talented teachers to be recognized by jury and students on YouTube
- Winners to get a cash prize of Rs 51,000 each and a job offer
- The company plans to hire 500 employees, including teachers
Speaking on the announcement, Utkarsh Classes and Edutech’s Founder and CEO, Dr Nirmal Gehlot said, “There are several teachers and students who are in the non-teaching category but capable of delivering knowledge to many young students, and most of them are in Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets. We welcome every teacher and also someone aspiring to become a teacher who can deliver good learning sessions to our students through an online mode. We are also looking for well qualified candidates capable to train the students for Government and other competitive examinations.”
Under each category, the first round of auditions will be conducted after which the selected teachers will go live from the studio to the class on Utkarsh’s YouTube channels. Key subject categories under the Teaching Talent Hunt show will be Current Affairs, Economics, General Science, Indian Constitution and Policy, Mathematics, Geography, History, Reasoning, English Grammar, and Hindi Grammar. Winners of each category will be given a cash price of Rs 51,000/- and an offer letter to join Utkarsh Classes & EduTech with an attractive pay package.
Post submitting the online forms, the jury will shortlist teachers based on their interests and experiences. The selected teachers would be invited for a demo session at one of Utkarsh’s studios. The best five teachers will be selected from each specialization and will be requested to take up one ‘live’ session on their subject of interest. Based on the feedback of students and the jury’s remarks, the winners of the ‘Teaching Talent Hunt’ show will be announced.
Notably, amid layoffs in the EdTech industry, Utkarsh Classes & EduTech is on a hiring spree, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities during FY22-23. Aiming high, the Utkarsh Founder also plans to go hybrid model by opening 100 new offline coaching classes in five years.
