Vadodara Military Station on Tuesday celebrated ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ in a grand and befitting manner, says a release.
26th July every year is celebrated as ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ nationally to mark India’s victory in ‘Operation Vijay’ wherein Indian Armed forces recaptured the mountainous heights occupied by the Pak Army along the Line of Control. The celebrations rekindle the pride and valour of the soldiers who participated in Operation Vijay.
The ‘Samba Warriors’ under the aegis of ‘First in Battle’ Brigade at Vadodara Military Station organised a felicitation ceremony on the occasion to recognise the sacrifice and contribution as well as felicitated the veterans and veer naris. The Formation Commander also expressed his sincere gratitude on behalf of the Armed Forces for the sacrifices made by war heroes and the veer naris.
