Announcing another show Pawan & Pooja under his banner on Tuesday, Producer Siddharth P Malhotra has come up with yet another innovative line of thought – one that will strike a chord across generations. He revealed that the show stresses love and the range of emotions associated with it.
Siddharth Malhotra says, “I have always been driven by experimentation, I believe it allows us to innovate and learn while we deliver what viewers want. Pawan& Pooja started with the same thought, we wanted to explore how love changes as we age. Having a team that is aligned and wants to create quality content helps in building the right foundation which shines through in the final product.”
On working with Mahesh Manjrekar, he adds, “Mahesh is a veteran actor and it is visible in every shot he gives but once off-camera, one would never believe what fun person he is. We have some of the best memories on the sets of Pawan& Pooja and I couldn’t be happier I had the opportunity to work with him.”

Mahesh Manjrekar adds, “Pawan & Pooja discovers new aspects of love, it taps into the typical problems faced in today’s fast-paced life. Working with people like Deepti Naval and Siddharth Malhotra is always a delight because they understand the craft and the script is their topmost priority.”
The show follows the lives of three couples, all experiencing love at a different age – Pawan & Pooja will take viewers on a ride filled with emotions, drama, passion, excitement and much more. The show stars an ensemble cast, including acclaimed actors like Mahesh Manjrekar and Deepti Naval. Malhotra’s last show Kaafir had created quite a stir in the industry with its powerful narrative and this show will head the same path. Pawan & Pooja will stream on MX Player on February 14, 2020.
Malhotra has always set the bar high in every project he has taken on. Whether it was creating Dil Mil Gaye or Sanjivani at a time when these genres remained unexplored or even a movie like Hichki, which after being rejected by several production houses, had a great run at the box office.
