Their presence reminded the gathering of the ultimate price paid by India’s soldiers in Operation Sindoor and the Kargil War.

A Gathering of Dignitaries
The solemn evening was presided over by Brigadier V. Radhakrishnan, decorated veteran of Operation Vijay (Kargil, 1999), who served the nation for more than 32 years. A Collective Salute
As the Veer Nari families walked up to receive their honours from the Chief Guest, the audience rose to its feet in respect. The moment reflected not only gratitude but also a collective vow to uphold the values for which the martyrs had laid down their lives.
