Vibrant Garba marks Navratri celebrations at Prin MC Shah Commerce College

Prin MC Shah Commerce College, which is part of the Navgujarat Group of Colleges recently held a Vibrant Garba event at the institute to mark the Navratri celebrations. Students, faculty members and staff members – all participated in the feisty celebration of festivities.

Coordinated by Dr Janak Kavaiya, NSS Programme Officer under the guidance of Principal Dr ND Shah the Garba event saw an enthusiastic participation of some 250 students, who played Garba continuously without stopping, for two and a half hours. Students came decked up in traditional attire with women dressed in beautiful Chaniya Cholis and Dupattas in a riot of colours whereas men arrived in colourful Kurtas and Kediyas paired with pyjamas and dhotis in a multitude of colours.

Principal Dr ND Shah along with the entire staff and faculty members of the institute remained present at the occasion, to participate in the festivities.

Each festival is celebrated with Gusto and high spirits at the institute with a view to foster a sense of community and cultural pride among the students. The vibrant celebrations of Navratri were no exception.
