Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday called for a mass media campaign to encourage more people to come forward and pledge to be organ donor. A delegation of doctors from Gleneagles Global Health City, Chennai called on the Vice President at Chennai Raj Bhawan on Sunday.

The team of doctors lead by Dr Selva Seetharaman, HOD & Plastic, Reconstructive, Hand & Microvascular surgeon briefed the Vice President about their work, achievements and challenges in the field of transplant surgery.
Naidu also met the family members of an organ donor, Megha from Gujarat and the organ recipient who is from Tamil Nadu. He praised and thanked the donor’s family for their noble gesture and wished the recipient, B Venkateshan a long and healthy life.
