Ancient India had Vishwavidhyalays in Nalanda in Bihar and Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu which attracted scores of foreign scholars. They imparted advanced astronomy, medicine, technology along with rich Indian culture and knowledge. Globetrotting Gujaratis in particular have been making all possible efforts to bring back these glorious days again.

One such attempt is making a film titled ‘Vishwaguru’ in which ‘Shaktiman’ takes Vishwarupam to accomplish mission of wooing Gen-Next from alien culture. Mukesh Khanna is making his debut in the Gujarati film industry with this film but delivers dialogues in Hindi in his inimical style.
Marking a new milestone in Gujarati cinema, the trailer of the much-anticipated film ‘Vishwaguru’ was launched in a grand ceremony in Ahmedabad on Thursday. The event witnessed the presence of the film’s cast, directors, producers, and numerous cinephiles. The trailer delivers a powerful blend of pride, emotion, and thought-provoking visuals, leaving a lasting impression on viewers.
Prominent personalities, including actors Mukesh Khanna, Sonu Chandrapal, Rajiv Mehta, along with the film’s directors Shailesh Boghani and Atul Sonar, producer Satish Patel, and executive producer Kashyap Kapta were present at the trailer launch event.

The trailer brightly portrays how a nation must confront internal division, corruption, and incomplete ideologies in its journey towards becoming a true “Vishwaguru” (Global Mentor). Featuring impactful dialogues, sharp visuals, and a culturally rooted backdrop, the trailer delivers a strong message, especially for the youth — that patriotism is not just a feeling, but also an act.
The film is directed by Shailesh Boghani and Atul Sonar, written by Kirit Bhai and Atul Sonar , and produced by Satish Patel. VISHWAGURU is a joint presentation by Sukrit Production and Swastik Motion Pictures.
The film features a stellar cast, including Gaurav Paswala, Krish Bhardwaj, Mukesh Khanna, Makrand Shukla, Shraddha Dangar, Sonu Chandrapal, Heena Jaykishan, Rajiv Mehta, Dharmesh Vyas, Jani Bhavini, Chetan Daiya, Sonali Lele, and Kurush Deboo.
The musical score is just as intense and evocative, with music composed by Mehul Surti and lyrics penned by Parth Terpara. The songs are brought to life by the soulful voices of Anandi Joshi and Hari Om Gadhvi. The film has been edited by Sanjay Sankla.
The trailer reveals not only religious or political themes but also raises questions on deep-rooted social values. Each character stands firmly in their own identity, inviting the audience to reflect and engage with the narrative.
Speaking at the launch, Director Shailesh Boghani said, “Vishwaguru is not just a film; it represents a Bharat whose foundation lies in culture, literature, and patriotism.”
The film is directed by Atul Sonar-Shailesh Patel, while Satish Patel is the producer of the film.
‘Shaktiman’ steals the show in the trailer launch
A Punjabi by birth, brought up in Maharashtra and ruling the hearts of kids, youth and elders alike through the powerful medium of Hindi cinema and acted in some Telugu and Malayalam films, ‘Shaktiman’ Mukesh Khanna is a true patriotic Indian preserving its rich culture for the posterity.
Sharing his thoughts with the media and cinephiles, ‘Shaktiman’ Mukesh Khanna said, “Regional films are not my forte. However, I had acted in two Telugu and Malayalam movies and my dialogues were dubbed in the respective languages. When the producers of ‘Vishwaguru’ approached me, I declined the offer as I was not comfortable with Gujarati even though I can read and speak Gujarati. They prevailed over me with the offer of delivering the dialogues in Hindi. “
The base of the film is Sarved, a panoramic yoga
The veteran actor of over half a century said, “What impressed me was the story, which changed my heart to grab the opportunity immediately t and then I said yes. In ‘Vishwaguru’, the other characters speak in Gujarati, but I speak in Hindi only. The Gen-Next is blindly aping the Western culture without thinking about our time-tested, rich culture traditions. Our society is based on the four pillars -religion, education, family and youth. The story of the film is that foreign countries want to destroy these pillars and spoil our youth and do various tricks for that. To put an end to these evil designs of the foreign powers, the Indian government handpicks me for this important mission and makes me the bureau chief. How myself and my team accomplish this rare mission, just wait for the film. The base of our story is Sarved, a panoramic yoga. You see how it comes in social media. In my opinion, this needs to be banned. The youth have started taking drugs. ‘Vishwaguru’ has been created to guide today’s youth on the right path and reach a specific goal. It is no exaggeration to say that our country will become a ‘Vishwaguru.’”
The trailer has received tremendous appreciation on social media and YouTube, with audiences praising the visuals, background score, and the film’s powerful content. The film is slated to release soon in Gujarati and Hindi languages and is expected to resonate deeply with patriotic, youth, and thoughtful audiences.
