Netherlands Ambassador to India Marten Van Den Berg on Tuesday inaugurated the first international office of Visics ATG India Private Limited, part of the Access Technology Group of Netherlands, specialising in industrial safety solutions for turnarounds in Chennai on Tuesday.
The new facility spread over 5,500 sqft is funded by the Dutch Government, and it would be a significant milestone of Visics’ plans for India.

Addressing at the inaugural function, Tamil Nadu Minister for Information Technology Mano Thangaraj said, “The state guided by the dynamic Chief Minister M K Stalin is the best destination for ease of doing business. When the Netherlands Ambassador to India Marten Van Den Berg and the delegation met the Chief Minister Stalin on Monday, he gave assurance to bring cross border exchange of technology to the state. Under the leadership of the down-to-earth Chief Minister, the state is transparent in administration to provide necessary infrastructure for the industries to establish the state-of-the-art facilities in the state.’’

The minister also said that the government with long-term vision will establish Centre for Excellence in association with the ICT Academy to rekindle the scientific research and closer ties between the industries and academia.
Addressing the at the event, Rene Slegers, Chief Executive Officer, Access Technology Group said, “It is a proud moment for all of us at Visics ATG as this state-of-the-art Experience Centre of Visics would be yet another testimony of Access Technology to make its benchmark in a vast and diversified country like India. With the adoption of Visics during turnarounds and shutdowns across India, we are confident that it will further improve the safety and well-being of the worker in process industries as a whole”.

Michiel Van Erkel, Agricultural Counsellor for Kingdom of Netherlands in India, Dhoya Snijders, Innovation Counsellor for Kingdom of Netherlands in India were present at the event.
This state-of-the-art Experience Centre from Visics will primarily deliver high-tech and fully digital mobile solutions during maintenance turnarounds and shutdowns in high-risk industries such as petroleum refinery, petrochemical, gas, metallurgical and other process industries.
The nature of the work within confined spaces is high-risk and requires extreme caution. Therefore, every industry would prefer to have extra precautions and guarantee maximum safety to all their employees and contractors involved.
