In order to strengthen the hands of women entrepreneurs in rural areas and unorganized sector in Gujarat, a one-day seminar-cum-awards ceremony is being organized by Kaleidoscope – She Startup Sojourn at Ahmedabad Management Association here on Saturday.
This event is aimed at educating women entrepreneurs and the start-ups on the solutions and the government schemes, including subsidies and e-commerce opportunities, that are available to them, build their capacity to take advantage of these solutions and build their businesses to match their dreams.
Speaking on the occasion,, Purvi Pandya – Founder, ideas2 execution (i2E) said, “The Indian startup ecosystem and entrepreneurs has evolved dynamically over the last two decades. The number of Startups and entrepreneurs in India and worldwide are on the rise, and they are now being widely recognised as important engines for growth and job generation. At a time when women are hitting the bull’s eye at the bourses and entering the billionaires’ club, Indian businesses are getting a much-needed non-androgenic perspective. In a largely male-dominated world, women are finally braving their feet to celebrate entrepreneurial ideas and pacing their way up to become successful businesswomen. So the need of Kaleidoscope.”
Chief Guest and Gujarat Commissioner for MSMEs Ranjeet Kumar, IAS, will deliver his address on “Government Schemes for Women Entrepreneurs” while Special Guest, Additional Collector and the General Manager of Gujarat Women Economic Development Corporation Jayshree N Zaroo will share her thoughts. Ajay Thakur, Head-SME & Start-up, BSE Ltd will speak at length on “Guiding entrepreneurs for Listing (Chasing Dreams). JETRO assistant director Sanchit Oza and many more experts will offer their valuable knowledge at this event.
Witnessing this exponential growth in women entrepreneurship and startups, Kaleidoscope aims to provide wings to their vision by connecting the unorganized business community, entrepreneurs, including Divyang community and startups who are in quite good numbers and are passionate of their dreams and business models, to interact with industry experts, government, banks, investors, legal firms and venture capitalists who will provide them with detailed information about the support that they can expect from government, pragmatic way of doing business, financial support system through banks and investors and design thinking approach to upscale & diversify their business. The session will also discuss about the case studies of few startups who have been successful and their innovation.

These Members would start manufacturing units and they will work in areas of engineering, electrical, and Plastic sectors. We are going to witness many Investors in this Seminar who would be important for entrepreneurs. The addition of Governance is a huge bonus and hence in this platform Women entrepreneurs would network and know each other. Wonen Entrepreneurs would know each other and get motivated.”
