Actor comedian Santhanam’s fans have a great treat in ‘DD Returns’, the third part of ‘Dilluku Tutu’. Every actor has his own style to maintain his unique identity to attract more fans. In line with his comedy genre, Santhanam has presented a full-fledged film with his established style.
The press meet of Santhanam starrer ‘DD Returns’ was held in Chennai on Friday.
Catering to the masses, Santhanam said: “For those who said that some of my films are not like Santhanam’s films, we have made ‘DD Returns’ as an entirely Santhanam film. The first and second parts of ‘Dillu Tutu’ were huge hits. Similarly, I hope this film will also attract people’s minds. Every ghost character in it is different. Prem Anand has made this movie so that everyone from children to adults can watch it and enjoy it.”

Afro, who worked as an assistant to Santhosh Narayanan and Harris Jayaraj, has composed the music for the film.
Surabhi of ‘Ivan Vera Madhiri’ and ‘VIP’ fame plays the female lead in the film, which also stars ‘Lollu Saba’ Maran, Sethu, Mottai Rajendran, FEFSI Vijayan, Muneesh Kanth, Pradeep Rawat, Redin Kingsley, Dheena, Thangadurai, Masoom Shankar, Manasi and others in pivotal roles.
Cinematography is by Deepak Kumar, editing by Srikanth and art direction by Mohan.
Writer Indira Soundarrajan said, “I have come all the way from Madurai to attend this event. The team of the film is a wonderful bunch of talented people. In this day and age, it is very easy to make people cry and get emotional, but it is difficult to make them laugh. But Santhanam excels in this art. I laughed uncontrollably many times while watching ‘DD Returns’.”

Cinematographer Deepak said, “This is my fourth film with Santhanam. Working with him is a joyous experience. Comedy is not an easy task, but the team has pulled it off. Playing a game with the ghost is the core of the film, and audience will feel like they are playing it. Director Prem Anand has crafted a very interesting screenplay.”
Music composer AfRo said, “From an independent musician, I have now turned into a film composer. It’s quite easy to compose music for albums because you don’t have to follow any rules too much. But when composing music for films, you have to compose according to the context, which is a bit of a challenge. A big thanks to Santhanam, director Prem Anand, producer Ramesh Kumar and friend Sethu for giving me this opportunity.”
Stunt master Hari said, “This is my 12th film with Santhanam. The film has fight scenes with all the actors involved. It’s going to be a lot of fun to watch.”
