One hundred and sixty participants of the India’s first Online Short-Term Entrepreneurship Programme for School Students of Grade 6 to 12 were recently felicitated on completion of their programme at a virtual ceremony by management team of the White Canvas India (WCI), an 8-year-old Noida based student and parent engagement company, and mentors from several IIMs all over India.
Designed by the WCI in collaboration with mentors from IIM, LSR, Forbes magazine, Harvard Business Review and several leading Entrepreneurs, the 6-month-long Entrepreneurship programme enables students at any early age to learn skills like Identifying Opportunity, Problem Solving, Risk Taking, Critical Thinking, Idea to execution etc and many more.
The first batch commenced on July 25 with 40 participants from all over India. The certification programme, including 100 credits, was delivered through online webinars, case studies, assignments, live projects and final evaluation. All passing out students have created their new entrepreneurship and registered them in an exclusive student’s catalogue.
“The programme imparted skills to prospective young student entrepreneurs at an early age and empowered them to take on Entrepreneurship. This will help them grow their confidence, experiment more and make them future-ready and create more options for their career.
This initiative is in sync with our plans to empower students to become Future-Ready and contributes in building a new India in compliance with our Prime Ministers vision; said Samaresh Shah, Founder Director of White Canvas India. It has drawn up plans to give the New India over 50,000 Young CEO over the next five years.
