The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced the results of the CA Final, Intermediate, and Foundation Examinations held in September 2025, and Ahmedabad students have once again brought laurels to the city with outstanding performances and national ranks.
While the national pass percentage for the CA Final (both groups) stood at 16.23%, Ahmedabad far exceeded the national average with an impressive 23.18%, reaffirming the city’s position as one of the country’s strongest hubs for commerce education.
National Results Snapshot (September 2025)
- CA Final (Both Groups): 16.23% (May 2025: 18.75%)
- Group I: 24.66% (vs. 22.38% in May)
- Group II: 25.26% (vs. 26.43% in May)
- CA Intermediate (Both Groups): 10.06% (vs. 13.22% in May)
- Group I: 9.43%
- Group II: 27.14%
- CA Foundation: 14.78% (vs. 15.09% in May)
Ahmedabad Centre Outshines the National Average
According to CA Neerav Agrawal, Chairman, ICAI Ahmedabad Branch, “Ahmedabad has consistently produced top-performing candidates, and this year’s results reflect the dedication of our students and faculty. The improvement across all levels demonstrates our city’s growing strength as a centre of academic excellence in commerce and accountancy.”
For the CA Final, Ahmedabad recorded:
- Both Groups: 23.18%
- Group I: 23.44%
- Group II: 27.20%
In comparison, the May 2025 results were 19.35%, 23.28%, and 20.10%, respectively — a clear sign of rising academic performance.
Adding to the city’s pride, Sumit Hasrajani secured All India Rank (AIR) 10, and Isha Arora achieved AIR 20 in the CA Final.
In the CA Intermediate examination, Ahmedabad’s performance was equally impressive:
- Both Groups: 12.35%
- Group I: 9.58%
- Group II: 37.53%
Here too, the city recorded a marked improvement from May’s results (10.62%, 13.99%, and 33.18%). Kriti Sharma achieved All India Rank 2, while Khusvant Kumar secured AIR 18, further cementing Ahmedabad’s academic leadership.
CA Foundation Results Show Upward Trend
Ahmedabad’s CA Foundation pass percentage rose sharply to 18.90%, compared to 13% in May 2025 — well above the national average of 14.78%.

CA Purushottam Khandelwal, Central Council Member, ICAI, said, “The consistent success of Ahmedabad students is a reflection of focused preparation, quality mentorship, and the city’s strong professional ecosystem. Despite a marginal dip in national averages, the Ahmedabad centre has shown remarkable improvement across all categories.”
