Puratchi Nayagan Suriya has been effectively using the cinema medium to create awareness on women’s safety and rights. Women-centric ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’, which hit the screens on Thursday, is one more feather on Suriya’s cap of glory after the blockbuster ‘Jai Beem.’
In this film, Suriya bets for the safety of women who were black-mailed by the son of a central minister casting the role of a young lawyer taking on the powers-that-be.
Suriya steals the show with his stellar performance in the film—be it his dialogue delivery or action scenes. Suriya fits perfectly into the role as a caring family man and savior of women from evil forces.
Suriya is a lawyer from a village who lives happily with his family. Vinay Rai, the central minister’s son, is a psychopath who cheats on girls and shoots them with a hidden camera.
Vinay Rai blackmails them with their private videos. Suriya wants to seek justice for them and protect them.
Unfortunately, Suriya’s family members also get affected by the villain’s gang.
The film is tailor-made for Suriya following the success of his award winning film ‘Jai Beem.’ Vinay Rai nails his character as the villain opposite to Suriya.
Sathyaraj, Saranya and Priyanka Mohan did commendable job in the film and they pull off their roles effortlessly.
Director Pandiraj sends a strong message on violence against women in society. ‘ET’ is a commercial entertainer with a social message.
Imman’s mass tunes and background score keeps the audience engaged. Ratnavelu’s Cinematography Work elevates production design.
