To significantly reduce illness and death caused by cancer and rally the international community to end the injustice of preventable suffering from cancer, Shalby Hospitals-Naroda organised various awareness activities on Thursday.
Incidentally, World Cancer Day also marks the successful completion of 3 years of the hospitals’ state-of-the-art Radiotherapy Centre.

Shalby Hospitals-Naroda observed World Cancer Day with some meaningful activities. A group of 1000+ enthusiasts, including Cancer Survivors, Doctors, and Youth took part in various events, including “a 9km Cyclothon” to spread awareness about cancer and a Workshop -Eating Healthy and Being Active, Poster and Slogan Competition, Health Talk to signify the global “I AM – I WILL” campaign which is a call for action, urging for personal commitment and it represents the power of individual action taken now to impact the future.
Department of Oncology and Onco-surgery at Shalby Hospitals, Naroda did a fabulous job during the last 6 months in Covid-19 era, by treating more than 200 patients on daily basis, including Chemotherapy, Radiation therapy and Surgery.
Shalby Hospitals-Naroda is also celebrating the successful completion of 3 years of its state-of-the-art Radiotherapy Centre equipped with the Varian Trilogy Radiotherapy machine, with FFF (Flattening Filter Free) Technology to treat cancer patients on February 4, 2021. Inaugurated on February 4, 2018, this state- of- the- art centre has already treated more than 5000 cancer patient with Radiotherapy.
Shalby Hospitals Naroda is the first hospital in Gujarat to introduce Varian FFF Radiotherapy machine. The FFF Technology is one its kind technique which helps in precision targeting and effectively treating cancer by controlling radiation beams to avoid damage to surrounding tissues.
