Medimix, the world’s largest selling handmade soap celebrated its Golden Jubilee in all its grandeur and adoration at Chennai Trade Centre on Monday.
A.V. Anoop, Managing Director, AVA Group, Pradeep Cholayil, Managing Director, Cholayil Pvt. Ltd., family members, employees and associates took part in the grand gala celebrations.
AVA Group and Cholayil Pvt. Ltd. jointly celebrated the completion of 50 glorious years of Medimix. The event witnessed performances by renowned playback singers – P Susheela and Unni Menon, dance performances by Vineeth & Team, and Rack Academy, a musical Stand up Comedy by Alex in Wonderland and show stopper performance by Ability Unlimited.
Commenting on the five decades of journey of Medimix, Dr. A.V. Anoop said “We are extremely delighted that brand Medimix has completed 50 years and we are proud to have maintained the legacy and originality of the process passed on by our founder Dr V P Sidhan. We value the relationships that we have built and nurtured over the years with our various stakeholders and we are indeed grateful to the Medimix family for having stood by us in this glorious journey.We will continue to build on the success of the Medimix story in the coming years.”
Medimix originated in the year 1969 in Chennai when Dr. V.P. Sidhan, was working as physician with the Indian Railways, began making soap to treat skin ailments in railway workers. Till the 1990s, Medimix had only one product – Medimix Classic. Over the years the brand has extended into Glycerin and Sandal variants in soap category, apart from Hand wash. Medimix is purely herbal, with a combination of 18 unique herbs, a release from the company said.
