Vadodara is set to experience a flavour revolution as Baker’s Artisanal Recipes (BAR) and JaCaCo Chocolates bring Martin Christy—the world’s leading voice in fine chocolate—to the city for the first time. Christy, founder of the International Institute of Chocolate & Cacao Tasting (IICCT) and the International Chocolate Awards, will headline a two-day immersive engagement on December 3 and 4, 2025, marking a landmark moment for India’s rapidly growing craft chocolate movement.

Widely recognised as the global authority in chocolate tasting—equivalent to a Q Grader in coffee or a Master Sommelier in wine—Christy’s visits to India are exceptionally rare. December 3: Tasting the World’s Award-Winning Chocolate
In an intimate, informal evening session (venue to be announced), participants will taste five award-winning chocolates from across the globe, guided by Christy’s deep sensory expertise. Through stories from his decades-long journey into cacao origins and bean-to-bar artistry, attendees will understand what sets fine chocolate apart—its texture, aroma, terroir, and craftsmanship.

December 4: International Chocolate Tasting Masterclass at JaCaCo Factory
The excitement continues with an advanced International Chocolate Tasting Masterclass, inspired by the globally respected IICCT framework. Designed for professionals and serious enthusiasts, this session unpacks:

- The journey from farm → bean → bar
- How to evaluate fine chocolate using sensory science
- The distinctions between craft, fine, and industrial chocolate
- The vocabulary, flavour mapping, and quality markers used worldwide
Participants will engage in guided tastings, an extensive Q&A, and a special tour of the state-of-the-art JaCaCo chocolate factory, gaining insights available nowhere else in India.
