NAVI MUMBAI TO HOST BLOCKBUSTER OPENING LEG

The season begins with a high-voltage clash in Navi Mumbai as defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on January 9.

The Navi Mumbai phase, spanning January 9–17, will host 11 matches, setting an electric tone for what is expected to be the most competitive edition of the league to date.

VADODARA TO STAGE REMAINING LEAGUE GAMES & PLAYOFFS

The caravan shifts to Vadodara for the remaining 11 league matches, beginning with Gujarat Giants (GG) taking on RCB, followed by a blockbuster rematch of the 2025 finalists—Delhi Capitals (DC) vs MI.
League fixtures will run until February 1, followed by a rest day ahead of the knockout rounds.

ELIMINATOR ON FEB 3, GRAND FINALE ON FEB 5

The Eliminator, featuring the teams finishing second and third, will be held on February 3.
The table-topper will sail directly into the Final, scheduled for February 5 in Vadodara—a night set to crown the next TATA WPL champion amid high drama and packed stands.

MEGA AUCTION RELOADS SQUADS FOR A HIGH-OCTANE SEASON

With Thursday’s mega auction in New Delhi reshaping team combinations, WPL 2026 is expected to be the most fiercely contested season yet. Strengthened squads, marquee international names, and a wave of emerging Indian talent are poised to deliver gripping cricket throughout the month-long tournament.

As the women’s game continues its rapid ascent, the WPL remains a powerful platform showcasing the growing depth, competitiveness and global appeal of Indian women’s cricket.
