2022 Grammy Award-winner Falu will bring her signature combination of Indian classical music and new-age as well as western styles to present a wonderful musical experience at Jitendra Desai Memorial Hall, Navjivan Trust on Saturday at 6:30 pm.
We're coming to Ahmedabad TODAY, Dec 17th, Saturday, to play at the historic venue of the Navjivan Trust — spanning from the legendary publishing house founded by Mahatma Gandhi ji.

Falu, (aka Falguni Shah) made history at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards by being the only person of Gujarati origin and merely 12th Indian to win the prestigious gramophone. She won the award in Best Children’s Album category for her album A Colourful World. This victory marks history because she is the first Indian woman, born and raised in India to win this.

Originally from Bombay, singer Falu was trained in the Jaipur musical tradition and in the Benares style of Thumrie under the legendary Kaumudi Munshi and semi classical music from Uday Mazumdar. She later continued studying under the late sarangi/vocal master Ustad Sultan Khan, and later with the legendary Smt. Kishori Amonkar (Jaipur style). She has also had collaborative projects with iconic artists like A. R. Rehman, Yo-Yo Ma, Ricky Martin, Wyclef Jean, Philip Glass, and Blues Traveler. Falu has been representative of the Indian music to the White House also and has performed for President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
Navjivan Trust is an organization founded by Mahatma Gandhi more than a hundred years ago. This event is significant as Navajivan, and country is celebrating 75th year of Indian Independence.
