Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Trust, Velacherry in Chennai has organized a grand gala musical event with 80 musicians to felicitate the Parama Pujya Sri Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji on Saturday, October 15, in Chennai.
This event is part of the 3-day programme organized to mark the Sashthiapthapoorthy (80th birth day) of Swamiji at Narada Gana Sabha, Alwarpet, said the trustees.
The musical event is scheduled to be performed under the stewardship of the Mridangam legend Karaikudi Mani along with many famous artists, Nityashree Mahadevan, Thirvarur Bhaktavatchalam, Mridanga Vidwan, Bharata Natya fame Padma Bhushan Padma Subramaniam and Nalli Kuppuswamy Chetty who will felicitate Sri Swamiji and offer Nada Seva as Nadabhishekam to the lotus feet of Parama Pujya Sri Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji.

Commenting on this, Padma Bhushan Sudha Raghunathan said, “On this occasion, 80 Carnatic musicians are to present a grand event Datta Priya” a new Raga at the divine feet of Sadgurdeva on this auspicious occasion of the 80th Birthday celebrations of His Holiness.
Addressing reporters VG Suresh Kumar, Executive Trustee of SGS Trust said, “The Swamiji will blesses us with Sadguru in a physical form at the musical event to establish unity and brotherhood amongst all communities, to propagate spirituality, to help the people suffering due to karmas and to strengthen the Sanatana Dharma. In that lineage of Sadgurus, comes our Datta Peethatipathi, Parama Pujya Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda, who has taken this Avatar to establish Peace, Harmony and Dharma throughout the Globe and enlighten all with Atma tatvam and spirituality.”
Healing diseases through music
Sri Swamiji has revived the Raga Ragini music therapy practiced in the olden days. Healing diseases through music is a great mission that Sri Swamiji took upon to heal and control diseases through particular ragas for a particular ailment. He has composed healing music consisting of many new ragas in this process with his very deep research and has been very successful in healing diseases which affected many people.
Sri Swamiji has established links between the star, zodiac and the illness of each person and identified the relevant raga that would cure the illness. Healing music of Sri Swamiji accompanied by other artists on percussion instruments, mesmerises the audience and cures them of their ailments. This celestial music of Puja Sri Swamiji is a unique therapy that saves many lives from even chronic diseases.
Pujya Sri Swamiji has also written and composed music for more than 5000 Bhajans. Bhjaksharas and Swaraksharas that re-energises and overhauls the inner systems of the body.
The 80th Birthday of the Seer was celebrated on May 26, 2022 with 10 Days festivity at Mysuru ashrama. Many of the devotees celebrated the Birthday participated very happily in a big way all around the world and by executing many social welfare programs that benefitted the needy and poor people.

Pujya Sri Swamiji went to Canada and USA at the invitation of many thousands of devotees there. His Holiness traveled widely to propagate Dharma pracharam for two months. Navaratiri festival Pujas were performed by His Holiness in Mysuru upon return from USA. After the Navaratri celebrations, Sri Swamiji is coming to Chennai at the invitation of many stalwarts of Carnatic music and all ardent devotees of Chennai.
