The Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) successfully concluded the 2nd Police Technology Summit 2025 in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh — reaffirming India’s march toward technologically empowered, intelligence-driven policing. The event, organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, and supported by the AIC-RRU Incubation Foundation (AIM, NITI Aayog), served as a high-impact platform for fostering collaboration between law enforcement, startups, academia, and industry innovators.

The summit centered on SMART Policing initiatives, focusing on AI-based policing, Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), predictive crime analytics, drone and anti-drone technologies, cybercrime mitigation, and digital investigation tools.
A Collaborative Vision for Future Policing
Bringing together an extensive delegation from State Police Services, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and Central Police Organisations (CPOs), the Summit facilitated high-level discussions on operational readiness, innovation, and inter-agency collaboration. Participants included representatives from the Assam Rifles, SSB, NSG, BSF, and officers from NEPA, CFSL, NCB, NIA, CBI, RPF, and NDRF — reflecting the growing synergy between security agencies and innovation ecosystems.
The event was graced by Tapir Gao, Member of Parliament; Tapi Darang, MLA (Pasighat-East); and the Inspector General of CRPF, whose presence underscored the importance of integrating technology into public safety frameworks. Addressing the gathering, Tapi Darang called for innovation at the grassroots level and stronger digital infrastructure for safer communities, setting a purposeful tone for the Summit.
Technology Showcase: Innovation at the Frontline
A major highlight of the Summit was the Technology and Innovation Exhibition, featuring 22 participants who demonstrated next-generation solutions for law enforcement. The exhibition unveiled breakthroughs in AI, DeepTech, DefenceTech, Cybersecurity, Quantum Sensing, and IoT-driven safety systems, underscoring India’s growing leadership in precision-driven national security technologies.
Innovations in geo-sensing, quantum research, and intelligent sensor systems illustrated how real-time data and automation can improve hazard detection, tactical planning, and situational awareness.
AI-powered policing tools — including facial recognition platforms, multimodal surveillance systems, and decision-support algorithms — showcased the future of proactive crime prevention. DefenceTech exhibitors presented drone innovations, AR/VR-based tactical simulators, and indigenous combat training platforms, highlighting India’s shift toward homegrown, mission-ready technology.
Strengthening Cyber Resilience and Health Preparedness
Cybersecurity and digital forensics took centre stage, with startups displaying advanced systems for cryptocurrency tracing, digital fraud analytics, and cyber forensic investigation. Demonstrations of digital learning platforms, smart classrooms, and health-tech systems reflected India’s holistic approach — merging safety, education, and wellness innovation into one continuum of progress.
A Convergence of Innovation and National Security
The 2nd Police Technology Summit 2025 marked a new milestone in RRU’s journey toward building a self-reliant security innovation ecosystem. The active participation of state and central police forces, CAPFs, and technology leaders reinforced India’s commitment to future-ready policing, indigenous research, and cross-sector collaboration.
“The summit has demonstrated how technology, when combined with national vision and collaborative effort, can transform policing, public safety, and national security readiness,” said RRU officials.
As the curtains fell on the two-day event, Pasighat emerged as a beacon of innovation and strategic foresight, signalling India’s readiness to lead the world in smart, secure, and sustainable policing systems.
