In a sacred effort to advance gaushala development, strengthen dharmaseva, and revive cow-centric Vedic culture, the village of Anawada in Patan district is set to host the grand “” from December 1, 2025. Organised on the holy banks of the Saraswati river at Shri Hariom Gaushala–Gau Hospital, the festival marks Patan’s first-ever devotional-cultural celebration of this scale, weaving together Bhagwat Katha, cow service, and folk traditions.
Spiritual Grandeur with Bhagwat KathaAnhilwad Gau-Bhakti Mahotsav
The prime highlight of the Mahotsav will be the divine narration of Shrimad Bhagwat Katha by world-renowned spiritual orator Pujya Shri Rameshbhai Oza, beginning December 1. Thousands of devotees are expected to immerse in the spiritual energy of the discourse each day.
To spread awareness across the region, a special outreach chariot has already travelled through nearly 1,500 villages, encouraging participation. Organisers expect 60,000–70,000 devotees daily, with the Katha dedicated to supporting the shelter and care of over 1,600 cows currently housed at Shri Hariom Gaushala.

First-Ever Gau-Surabhi Yagna
A special Gau-Surabhi Yagna, being organised for the first time, will spread an atmosphere of positivity and sacred energy throughout the festival. The Mahotsav aims not only to deepen devotion but also to promote cow protection, Panchgavya use, and cow-based agriculture.
Cultural Nights and Folk Celebrations
Visitors will also experience vibrant cultural evenings featuring Kunwarbai Nu Mameru Katha and traditional dayro folk music. Renowned artists Rajbha Gadhvi, Rajdan Gadhvi, and Bindu Ramanuj will perform, transforming the Mahotsav into a celebration of Gujarat’s living folk heritage.

Festival organiser Gau-Bhakt Shri Chetanbhai Ramshankar Vyas said, “Such a grand event is being organised for the first time in Patan district. For the upliftment of our Sanatan Dharma and cow heritage, this festival on Gujarat’s sacred soil will be ‘unprecedented and unforgettable’. Every section of society has been included in this initiative.”
Shri Hariom Gaushala–Gau Hospital is known for its 24×7 care for injured, sick, or incapacitated cows, supported by three ambulances serving up to 200 km at any hour — a reflection of its unwavering commitment to gau-seva.
