CHENNAI, DEC 1
In a noteworthy contribution to Chennai’s urban safety efforts, leading real-estate developer Navin’s has donated 50 traffic barricades to the city’s police department as part of its sustained commitment to social responsibility.

The barricades were officially handed over by Navin Kumar, Managing Director of Navin’s, to P. Radha Krishnan, Traffic Inspector, Saidapet. The newly donated units will be deployed along the high-density Teynampet–Mount Road corridor, one of Chennai’s busiest traffic stretches, to strengthen regulation, ensure smoother movement and reinforce road-safety vigilance.
- Real-Estate leader donates 50 high-visibility barricades to boost traffic regulation in key city corridors
- Support to strengthen road discipline, prevent mishaps and enhance public awareness on safe commuting
- Police hail the effort as a model corporate contribution toward urban mobility & citizen safety
Police officials said the barricades would be positioned at critical junctions and congestion-prone points to curb over-speeding, improve lane discipline, and minimise accident risks. They added that consistent corporate support like this significantly enhances day-to-day traffic management, especially in pressure zones where pedestrian safety and vehicle flow demand continuous monitoring.
Expressing gratitude, traffic authorities noted that Navin’s initiative not only supplements infrastructure needs but also elevates citizen awareness on responsible commuting. The contribution, they emphasised, stands as an example of how private organisations can meaningfully collaborate with civic bodies to improve urban safety outcomes.
With this CSR gesture, Navin’s reaffirms its broader commitment to community welfare—extending its footprint beyond real-estate development to champion safer, more organised public spaces for Chennai’s residents.
