AHMEDABAD, DEC 8
In a touching celebration rooted in service, Gujarat Lok Seva Trust marked the birthday of its trustee, Rohan Gupta, by organising a heartfelt humanitarian programme for over 200 underprivileged schoolchildren and senior citizens from old-age homes.

The beneficiaries were treated to a special screening of the Gujarati film Lalo – Krishna Sada Sahay, aligning with the Trust’s mission to strengthen values of humanity, compassion and mutual care.
Children Experience a Cinema Hall for the First Time
For many young students, this was the first film of their lives watched inside a theatre.
Volunteers shared that the children repeatedly expressed their excitement, saying the experience felt “like a dream come true” — a feeling clearly visible on their smiling faces throughout the event.
Organisers noted that “the innocent joy and enthusiasm of the children became the true highlight of the celebration.”
Seniors Shower Blessings on the Gesture of Sewa
Senior citizens who attended the screening described the outing as one of the most refreshing experiences they had in a long time.
After the film, they conveyed heartfelt blessings to Rohan Gupta for choosing to celebrate his birthday by bringing happiness to those who need it most.
Volunteers recounted that the seniors warmly said that “this act of kindness will remain in our hearts.”
Film Cast Joins the Event, Adding Excitement
Members of the cast of Lalo – Krishna Sada Sahay were also present at the venue, drawing special enthusiasm from both children and seniors.
Their interaction added a festive charm to the event, making the day even more memorable.
A Celebration That Sends a Message of Humanity
The Trust emphasised that the purpose of the programme was not just to mark a birthday but to spread the spirit of sewa, inspiring more people to take up meaningful community service.
Organisers encouraged media platforms to share the initiative widely so that “the message of goodwill and humanity reaches the entire society and motivates others to serve.”
Event Venue
The programme concluded successfully at Wide Angle Cinema, near Novotel Hotel, Iskon Crossroads.
