As part of National Youth Day celebrations, CC Sheth College of Commerce, under the Navgujarat Group of Colleges, organised a special interactive session on Startup and Entrepreneurship, aimed at nurturing innovation-driven thinking among students. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 40 students, reflecting growing interest in entrepreneurship as a viable and impactful career choice.
Decoding the Startup Mindset
The session was led by Dr Saurabhkumar Jain, senior faculty member at Khyati School of Business Administration, who drew from his academic expertise and entrepreneurial experience to offer practical insights into the startup ecosystem. Addressing students, Dr Jain encouraged them to view entrepreneurship as a potential career path where an idea can be transformed into a sustainable enterprise.
He explained the fundamental differences between startups and conventional business models, highlighting how startups are driven by innovation, scalability and problem-solving rather than routine operations.
From Concept to Creation
Breaking down complex concepts into relatable examples, Dr Jain introduced students to essential startup principles such as Minimum Viable Product (MVP), idea validation, innovation and customer-centric problem-solving. He stressed the importance of testing ideas early, learning from feedback and refining solutions before scaling—key steps in building successful startups.
The interactive nature of the session allowed students to engage actively, ask questions and relate entrepreneurial concepts to real-world challenges, making the learning experience both practical and inspiring.
Inspiring the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs
Faculty members noted that the session succeeded in demystifying entrepreneurship and motivating students to think beyond traditional career paths. With lively discussions and strong student participation, the event underscored the institution’s commitment to empowering youth with future-ready skills and entrepreneurial awareness.
Overall, the session was well-received by both students and faculty, marking a meaningful addition to the college’s National Youth Day initiatives and reinforcing the importance of innovation-led education.
