In a powerful display of discipline, unity and youthful determination, the Recruit Training Centre (RTC) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Avadi in Tiruvallur district witnessed the Passing Out Parade of 1,384 recruits of Batch No. 434, marking their formal induction into India’s premier internal security force.

The ceremonial parade was reviewed by Gyanendra Pratap Singh, IPS, Director General, CRPF, who attended the event as the Chief Guest, took the salute and inspected the contingents. The occasion was graced by senior leadership of the Force including Deepak Kumar, IPS, SDG (Training); Ravideep Singh Sahi, ADG (South Zone); T. Vikram, IPS, IG (South Sector); and Sandeep Datta, IG (Training), along with representatives from the local administration and the Armed Forces.

Addressing the newly inducted personnel, the Director General commended the recruits for successfully completing their rigorous training and highlighted that the CRPF is entrusted with the vital responsibility of maintaining internal security of the nation. He underlined that the passing-out batch reflected the true diversity of India, bringing together youth from different regions, languages, religions and customs, united by a single identity — service to the motherland.
Earlier, M.J. Vijay, DIG and Principal, RTC Avadi, briefed the Chief Guest on the comprehensive and demanding training curriculum undertaken by the recruits. The training covered Physical Training, Basic Operational and Administrative Concepts (BOAC), Counter-Insurgency Operations, Jungle Survival, Battle-Craft and Human Rights, ensuring that recruits are both combat-ready and ethically grounded.
The parade was complemented by high-impact demonstrations of professional skills, showcasing the physical prowess, agility and mental discipline of the recruits. These included Malkhamb, Silambam, Unarmed Combat, Combat Tactics, Yoga and Rope Work, drawing applause from the assembled dignitaries and families.
The Director General presented awards to the top performers of the batch in recognition of their excellence across training disciplines. CT/BUG Khare Vishal Kaliram was adjudged the All-Round Best Recruit for his outstanding performance throughout the training period.
The parade was commanded by B.V. Singh Jodha, Assistant Commandant, and the ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Pawan Kumar Tiwari, Commandant and Chief Training Officer. The newly trained personnel will now be deployed across various operational theatres of the country, where they will contribute directly to safeguarding internal security and national stability.
The Passing Out Parade at Avadi stands as a compelling reminder to India’s youth that a career in the CRPF is not merely a profession, but a calling marked by honour, courage and unwavering commitment to the nation.
