AHMEDABAD, APR 17
In a moment that could redefine dreams for hundreds of young footballers, ARA FC has turned Ahmedabad into a gateway to European football excellence—hosting an elite three-day training camp led by top coaches from Real Betis Balompié. For aspiring players, this isn’t just a camp—it’s a glimpse into what it takes to rise from local pitches to global arenas.

Led by Pablo Bocanegra, Head of Expansion at Real Betis Global Academy, and Luis Sagasta Ferraro, International Project Activator, the program brings world-class coaching directly to Gujarat. Around 100 players under the age of 17 are undergoing rigorous, structured sessions focused on tactical intelligence, physical conditioning, teamwork, and advanced technical skills—mirroring the training systems used in top European leagues.
By dividing participants into smaller groups, the camp ensures personalised mentoring—helping each player refine their strengths and address gaps, just like professional academy setups abroad.

Widely respected in Spain and beyond, Real Betis—fondly known as Los Verdiblancos—is not just a football club but a symbol of passion, sustainability, and community-driven excellence. Its global academy network, active in over 75 countries, is now extending its footprint into India—bringing international exposure closer to grassroots talent.
Toni Claveria, CEO of Meet Football and camp facilitator, said,
“We are deeply impressed with Real Betis’s methodology and process. They possess world-class techniques to groom players from a very young age. Partnering with ARA FC allows us to impart the discipline, skills, and mindset of Spanish football to both students and local coaches.”
The initiative goes beyond players, with dedicated sessions for ARA FC’s coaching staff—ensuring that global standards are embedded into local training ecosystems for the long run.

Krinesh Patel, Director of ARA, said,
“We want Gujarat to lead the football revolution in India. By engaging with the best methodology teachers in the world we are providing a great service to our players and staff. This camp is a step toward that goal.”
The Spanish coaches, too, see immense promise in Indian talent.
Coach Pablo Bocanegra said,
“The kids here are naturally talented and incredibly hard-working. With minor adjustments to their routines, diet, and fitness, they have the potential to become true champions. We are very happy with the progress and hope to stay in touch.”
Coach Luis Sagasta added,
“Their passing skills, hunger for the game and awareness are at par with any child of their age globally. Gujarat football is at a positive tipping point.”
As global expertise meets grassroots ambition, camps like these are doing more than training players—they are shaping mindsets, building confidence, and proving that the journey from Indian grounds to international stadiums is not a dream, but a direction.
