Reflecting on the journey of inclusive governance, the Prime Minister said the government’s consistent endeavour has been to ensure that the benefits of development reach those who remained on the margins for decades, thereby empowering them with dignity, opportunity and economic participation.

“Over the last 12 years, India has witnessed many transformations and at the core of these changes is the welfare of the poor and downtrodden. We have always been inspired by Antyodaya and our effort has always been to ensure that the benefits of development reach those who were left behind for decades. From Jan Dhan accounts and Direct Benefit Transfer to Swachh Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat and more, every initiative has been driven by a simple objective of ensuring people have dignity and opportunity. #12YearsOfGaribKalyan.”
The Prime Minister emphasised that technology has emerged as a powerful enabler of inclusive governance, ensuring that welfare benefits reach beneficiaries directly, transparently and without intermediaries.
Highlighting the role of digital platforms and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), he said these innovations have significantly reduced leakages, improved administrative efficiency and reinforced public confidence in governance.

Echoing the Prime Minister’s vision, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah reaffirmed that Garib Kalyan remains the topmost priority of the Modi government, highlighting the extensive reach of welfare programmes over the past 12 years.
He said government initiatives have connected crores of citizens with banking services, financial inclusion, social security and entrepreneurship opportunities through flagship schemes aimed at improving livelihoods and strengthening economic resilience.
