AHMEDABAD, JUNE 12
With the sacred objective of spreading the timeless message of spirituality, devotion and selfless service, The Art of Living Vedic Dharma Sansthan, under the divine blessings of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, is organising a Shrimad Bhagavat Katha and Gyan Yajna Mahotsav to mark the auspicious Adhik Purushottam Maas.
The week-long spiritual celebration is being held from June 8 to June 14, 2026, every evening from 4.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m., at Kalyan Pushti Haveli, Vastrapur, Ahmedabad, drawing devotees seeking inner peace, spiritual wisdom and divine grace.
The sacred event is unfolding in the holy presence of Pujya Sadhviji Gurumayi, a revered disciple of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, who is guiding devotees through the profound teachings and devotional narration of the Shrimad Bhagavat Katha, alongside the spiritually enriching Gyan Yajna.
According to Hindu scriptures, Adhik Purushottam Maas, which occurs once every three years, is regarded as one of the holiest periods in the Vedic calendar. It is believed that prayers, meditation, charity, penance and acts of selfless service performed during this sacred month yield manifold spiritual blessings and merit.
The organisers have also created several opportunities for devotees to participate in sacred service activities as part of the Mahotsav.
The Kalash Yajman Seva is being conducted from June 8 to June 12, while the Bhandara Seva, symbolising the spirit of sharing and community service, will take place on June 13 and 14.
Extending a warm invitation, the organisers have called upon devotees and families from Ahmedabad and neighbouring regions to participate in the spiritual gathering, listen to the divine discourse, engage in satsang and contribute through seva, making the most of the spiritually significant Purushottam Maas.
The Mahotsav seeks to inspire participants to reconnect with eternal values of faith, compassion and inner transformation, while celebrating India’s rich spiritual heritage through collective prayer and devotion.
