Amdavad Distance Runners (ADR), one of the city’s oldest and largest running communities, successfully organized the ADR Women’s Day Run – Her Day, Her Strides to celebrate women and promote fitness through running. The event, held at LJ University, Sarkhej saw an overwhelming response with more than 230 women participating, making it a grand success.
A key highlight of the run was the unique Saree Run category, where women ran gracefully in traditional attire, breaking stereotypes and spreading the message that fitness has no boundaries. The event also featured multiple running categories, encouraging women of all fitness levels to take part and embrace an active lifestyle.
The morning kicked off with an energizing Zumba session, setting the tone for an enthusiastic run. After the race, participants were treated to a delicious and healthy breakfast, reinforcing the importance of balanced nutrition along with fitness.
Through this initiative, ADR continues to inspire and empower the community, encouraging more women to adopt running as a sport and embrace a healthier lifestyle.
