After his most recent box office success with ‘Jailer,’ actor Rajinikanth is back to work on the sets of his next film tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 170’. Directed by TJ Gnanavel of’ Jai Bhim’ fame, the film also features superstar Amitabh Bachchan.

Rajinikanth took to social media to share a picture with Big B, whom he referred to as his ‘mentor’. “My heart is thumping with joy”, Rajinikanth said on reuniting with Bachchan after 33 years. According to reports, the shooting of the film is currently on in Mumbai.
The film also features Fahadh Faasil and Rana Daggubati. According to reports, the cast also includes Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan.
Speaking about the film earlier when he was in Kerala, Rajinikanth said that the film will be a huge entertainer with a social message.
Rajinikanth, who was last seen on the big screen in Nelson Dilipkumar’s ‘Jailer,’ will work on another untitled project with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Bachchan was last seen in Bollywood films Uunchai and Brahmastra Part 1.
