Marking a milestone in its centenary year, GLS University hosted its flagship international conference GLSU-ATRPM 2026 in a hybrid format on Friday, turning the spotlight on ‘AI in Action’ through an ambitious showcase of 100 research ideas.

The conference—Advances in Theory, Research & Practices in Management (ATRPM)—was organised as the third commemorative event under ‘Shodh Shatabdi – The Research Conclave’, part of the university’s year-long 100th-year celebrations launched on February 23.

Bringing together leading academics, researchers, and industry professionals, the event underscored the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in redefining management and business practices through innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and future-ready thinking.

100 Ideas, One Vision: Innovation meets impact

A defining highlight of the conference was the presentation of ‘100 Research Ideas’, reflecting GLS University’s commitment to actionable and solution-oriented research. The ideas spanned key domains including Emerging Technologies, Sustainability, Finance & Accounting, and Entrepreneurship & Start-ups.

Building on its strong legacy—having attracted over 150 research submissions in the previous edition—the ATRPM series, launched in 2021, has steadily evolved into a credible platform bridging academia and industry.

From theory to practice: AI as a strategic enabler

The 2026 edition reinforced a crucial shift—from theoretical frameworks to practical AI applications—focusing on sector-specific use cases, actionable frameworks, and responsible AI practices aimed at generating sustainable organisational value.

The inaugural session featured keynote speaker Prof. Neharika Vohra, who highlighted the growing influence of AI in shaping managerial decision-making and leadership paradigms.

Power-packed sessions & industry insights

Multiple technical sessions enabled deep dives into emerging trends, offering participants a platform to exchange ideas and explore AI-driven innovations across industries.

The valedictory session featured keynote speaker Suraj Kishor, former CEO, BBDO India & TeamX for Mercedes-Benz, who brought in sharp industry perspectives on branding, strategy, and AI-led transformation.

‘AI must amplify, not replace human thinking’

Delivering the valedictory address, GLS University Executive Director Dr. Chandni Kapadia stressed the need to move beyond theory and embrace real-world implementation.

She said, “The theme ‘AI in Action’ is not about tools or trends; it is about application, experimentation, and execution. The true value of AI lies in its ability to amplify human thinking, not replace it. AI does not define success, the way we use AI does.”

The event was organised under the visionary leadership of Sudhir Nanavati, president of GLS University.

KALP goes digital: A leap towards research impact

Another major highlight was the relaunch of the KALP journal as a digital platform, aimed at promoting impactful, practice-oriented research and expanding the university’s academic footprint in the digital era.

GLSU-ATRPM 2026 ultimately showcased the vast potential of AI while reinforcing a critical message: technological advancement must remain aligned with human values and societal impact.
