Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari said air power will play a critical role in deciding the outcome of any conflict in future and stressed the need for maintaining a high state of readiness.

Speaking at the two-day Commanders’ Conference of South Western Air Command (SWAC) at its Headquarters in Gandhinagar on Thursday and Friday, the Indian Air Force (IAF) chief apprised commanders of the current security scenario and the likely roles of the force, according to a Defence release.
Taking a major step forward in establishing Emergency Medical Response System, Air Mshl Rajesh Vaidya, DGMS (Air) signed a #MoU with Mr Krishnam Raju, Director EMRI @GVKEMRIOnline.

Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) who was accompanied with Neeta Chaudhari, President Air Force Families Welfare Association was received by Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Air Command and Richa Tiwari, President AFFWA (Regional).
During the conference, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari interacted with the Commanders of SWAC. In his address to the Commanders, he apprised them about the prevailing security scenario in the world and significant role of the Indian Air Force. The Air Chief said that in any future conflict, space would play a vital and critical role in deciding the outcomes. He stressed on the need for maintaining a high state of readiness and alert states to take on emerging contingencies. The Air Chief appreciated the efforts of the Commanders especially during exercise Gaganshakti wherein contingencies like Emergency Landing Facility and Mass Casualty Evacuation were conducted successfully. He exhorted them to continue with diligence to ensure that the IAF remains alert and ready at all times.
The CAS emphasised on the requirement of ensuring the smooth in-processing of Agniveervayu into the IAF by closely monitoring and mentoring the Agniveervayu. Lastly, he awarded various trophies to stations for their noteworthy performances in various spheres
