For the installation, it is said that the renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik used about 12 tonnes of sand and took around six hours to complete the sculpture. The amalgamation of sand and rudraksha just give a very different and serene look to the sculpture, a few netizens noted. Several Twitter users also replied saying “Har Har Mahadev” to Sudarsan’s post.
However, this is not the first time that Pattnaik has tried something new with his installations. The sand artist has earlier even used vegetables, red roses and so on for the sculptures.
So far, the Padma Shri awardee has participated in more than 60 international sand sculpture competitions and festivals around the world and won many prizes.
