Athulya Senior Care, a leading name in assisted living and elderly care in India, organized the “Caring for a Senior” Walk-a-thon on Sunday at Elliots Beach, Chennai. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 500 individuals, all united to advocate for the welfare and dignity of senior citizens.

The ‘Caring for a Senior’ Walk-a-thon was simultaneously held at Coimbatore, Kochi, Bengaluru and Chennai on Sunday.

The Walk-a-thon, which began at 6:00 am was flagged off jointly by Chief Guest A. Kayalvizhi, Joint Commissioner of Police, (Headquarters) Greater Chennai Police and veteran theatre artist ‘Kaathadi Ramamurthy. The event was a resounding success, bringing together a diverse group of volunteers, corporate employees, college students, and community members, all walking with a shared purpose — to champion the cause of elderly care.

The participants, proudly donning commemorative T-shirts and caps, embarked on a journey, covering miles of Chennai’s beachside. This event was more than just a physical activity; it was a powerful demonstration of solidarity, compassion, and community spirit. The Walk-a-thon served to remind us of the importance of elderly care, urging participants and onlookers alike to consider the unique needs and challenges faced by senior citizens.

In addition to the walk, the event featured several highlights aimed at making the experience both memorable and impactful.
