A-1 Sureja Industries, an associate company of Ahmedabad-based A-1 Acid Limited Group, on Saturday introduced the upgraded version of its popular electric motorcycle “Xplosive” under “A-1 SUREJA” E-Bike brand in the Gujarat market.
Speaking on the occasion, company founders Tushar Sureja, Harshad Patel and Bharat Kumar Patel, Jitendra Patel said, “India is a huge market for electric vehicles with tremendous potential. Currently this market is in its early stages of growth. With a number of measures taken by the central government to promote EVs and increased consumer awareness, immense opportunities have been created for companies operating in the electric vehicle sector. Today we are proud and happy to introduce our upgraded electric motorcycle Xplosive in Gujarat market.”
Harshad Patel, one of the founders, said, “Xplosive is too easy to maintain with more power, more speed and energy efficient and will have a long operational life. We have addressed all safety features like fire and water-proof as per the norms of the government. It takes 5-6 hours to charge the bike and it will last for 100 km without pillion rider and 80 km with pillion rider. The lithium battery has 2,000 lifecycle and the bike comes with three years warranty.”
To a query on production capacity, he said, “At present we have a production capacity of 25 units per eight-hour shift which can be scalable according to the demand. In line with the Centre’s AtmaNirbhar Bharat initiative, our factory at GIDC Kerala manufactures bikes for both domestic and global markets ”
Speaking with navjeevanexpress.com, Tushar Sureja, the head of R&D Wing and the bike inventor, said, “The bike was the outcome of two years of research from 2005 to 2007. This is the bike of future generation and invented keeping in mind the costly operation of Petrol run two- wheels due its spiralling cost. The Government of India has launched a well-planned EV policy to promote electric vehicles. This has led to a rapid increase in sales of electric vehicles over the past few years. The company introduced its first electric motorcycle model in the year 2013. After doing our continuous research and development, according to the modern needs of the youth we are relaunching these unique feature packed bikes and we will live up to their expectations. Further, innovation has been central to our operations. In the near future we are committed to launch new models.”
Currently, A-1 Sureja Industries is focusing on a strong distribution channel to expand the reach of its products to consumers across the country.
It is planned to make the product available in every area in Gujarat in collaboration with Visol SRPS Private Limited. The company is presently in the process of appointing dealers with proven track record in the marketing of two-wheelers in India and abroad, and already shortlisted some of them capable enough to make successful marketing.
