The Southern Railway’s (SR) theme-based Bharat Gaurav train service will commence on Thursday, May 4 from Kochuveli in Kerala to Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh. The 13-day pilgrimage itinerary from Kochuveli to Prayagraj will be via Puri – Konark – Kolkata – Gaya – Varanasi – Ayodhya – Allahabad, and back to Kochuveli, says a release issued here on Wednesday.
Train No. 06909/06910 Kochuveli – Prayagraj – Kochuveli will have 14 coaches
With the objective of showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage and magnificent historical places to the people of India and the world, Indian Railways introduced the “Bharat Gaurav Trains” scheme with effect on 23.11.2021. In Southern Railway, the first service of the theme-based Bharat Gaurav roundtrip train service from Coimbatore North to Sainagar Shirdi was operated on 14.06.2022. Bharat Gaurav scheme also aims to leverage the core strengths of the professionals of the tourism sector to run theme-based trains to tap the vast tourist potential of India.

Train No. 06910 Prayagraj Jn – Kochuveli Bharat Gaurav Train will leave Prayagraj Jn at 13.30 hrs on 13th May, 2023 and reach Kochuveli at 22.45 hrs on 15th May, 2023
Coach Composition: 4- AC Three Tier Coaches, 7- Sleeper Class Coaches, 1- Pantry Car & 2- Luggage cum Brake Vans.
