On this, occasion, Pandian appealed the central government to revoke the recent withdrawal of 4 per cent interest subsidy for gold loan for agriculture purposes. BJP-led NDA government’s decision on this will have cascading effect on agriculture production.
Keeping in view the sacrifices of Narayanasamy Naidu on his death anniversary, he urged the central government to announce remunerative Minimum Support Price of Rs. 2,500 per quintal for paddy. BJP has betrayed the farmers, as the party failed to keep up its promise on implementation of M.S. Swaminathan Committee recommendation of giving remunerative prices to agriculture commodities based on its cost of production.
Give priority to organic products in ICDS
