AHMEDABAD, SEPT 17
CEPT University on Tuesday hosted a vibrant plantation drive aimed at fostering climate awareness and environmental responsibility among its new undergraduate students.

As part of the initiative, students planted 36 native tree species—including Indian Gooseberry, Mulberry, Indian Blackberry, Mango, and Wild Indian Almond—across 600 square meters on the northern side of the campus. The effort added to the university’s growing tree cover and strengthened its green footprint.

The event was organised under the CEPT Foundation Programme, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID),
The Indian Institute of Architects, Ahmedabad Centre, and supported by the Master’s in Landscape Architecture programme. Conducted as part of IIID’s Green Initiative, the drive saw enthusiastic participation from students, turning the activity into both a learning experience and a step toward sustainable living.
