Chief of Staff of Southern Command Lieutenant General DS Ahuja on Thursday visited Headquarters 617 (I) Air Defence Brigade and Electronics and Mechanical Engineers School at Vadodara, a release said.
During his visit, Chief of Staff was briefed in detail by the Formation Commander on the operational preparedness and training activities of the Formation. Chief of Staff was also briefed by Commandant, Electronics, and Mechanical Engineers School and Station Commander on the training curriculum of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers School. Chief of Staff inspected various facilities and security aspects set up by the Army and its efforts to contribute significantly to the nation’s fight against Covid-19, the release added.
Chief of Staff complimented the high state of operational readiness of the Formation and upgraded training facilities at training node of the Formation and Electronics and Mechanical Engineers School.
Chief of Staff inaugurated 01 MW solar power plant project which will result in saving electricity and reduce financial exchequer of approximate Rs 144 lakh per year to the government as well as will contribute significantly to the green initiative of Indian Army.
