CVRDE Sports Council has hosted the DRDO South Zone & All India Inter Zone Volleyball Tournaments at the Bharathiyar Nagar Ground, CVRDE Quarters, Avadi, Chennai.
Subsequently, #DRDO All India Inter Zone Volleyball Tournament was held by #CVRDE from 20 to 21 Feb ‘25. Four teams representing North, South, Central & West Zones competed while the South Zone & Central Zone secured the Winners & Runners up positions respectively.

The DRDO South Zone Volleyball Tournament for the year 2024-25 was successfully conducted by CVRDE at the Bharathiyar Nagar Ground (CVRDE Quarters, Avadi, Chennai) from 17th to 19th February 2025. The event saw active participation from 11 teams across the region. In an exciting finale, NPOL, Kochi emerged as the Winner, while ADE, Bangalore secured the Runner-Up position.

Following the South Zone tournament, the DRDO All India Inter-Zone Volleyball Tournament was organized from 20th to 21st February 2025 at the same venue. Four teams representing the North Zone, South Zone, Central Zone, and West Zone participated in this prestigious event. After a thrilling series of matches, the South Zone team claimed the Winner title, with the Central Zone team finishing as the Runner-Up.
The inaugural function of both tournaments was graced by J. Rajesh Kumar, OS & Director of CVRDE, while the valedictory ceremony was attended by Dr. V. Balamurugan, OS & Associate Director of CVRDE. Both officials commended the teams for their sportsmanship and competitive spirit, acknowledging the efforts of the organizers in making the events a resounding success.
The tournaments were organized by the CVRDE Sports Council, with significant support from the 22nd Works Committee of CVRDE, ensuring smooth and seamless coordination throughout.
The events not only highlighted the sporting talent within DRDO but also fostered camaraderie and teamwork among its various teams from across the country.
