R ARIVANANTHAM
Late politician-actor-journalist Cho Ramaswamy used to stage political satires to create awareness among the masses. And he has succeeded in his mission to certain extend. To fill up the vacuum created by the passing away of Cho, Director Mani Damodharan has made an earnest effort to cleanse the present-day politics with this political drama ‘Oru Thavaru Seithaal’ (If You Make a Mistake).
Like Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian’ and Action King Arjun’s ‘Mudalvan”, this film is a trendsetter and game-changer.

Pari, Sreedhar, Surender and Santhosh, the four friends have performed well. Director Mani Damodaran has told us to understand the potential of technology and the risk it poses.
‘Oru Thavaru Seithaal’ is a film that makes the public think about what kind of political candidates they should cast their votes for in the upcoming parliamentary elections. A realistic screenplay with interesting making, sentimental love and political intrigue, the director has sensibly told everything in this film.
This film conveys the good message that ‘voting is our bounden duty, we should not barter it for money’. It is a welcome thing that such a film came out at the time of elections, we should understand that we should not sell our invaluable right to vote for worthless for money.
Everyone must watch this movie before the elections, especially the Election Commission, and politicians of all hues.
If more attention was paid to the cinematography and music, the film would have been enjoyable one.
