What happens when classroom learning crosses national borders and connects students with international academic and industry experiences? GSFC University’s latest collaboration with Vietnam’s University of Economics and Finance (UEF) seeks to create precisely such opportunities, bringing India and Vietnam closer through student mobility, interdisciplinary learning and collaborative research.
GSFC University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UEF, Vietnam, to strengthen its international academic engagement and expand opportunities for students and faculty through cross-border collaboration.
The MoU was signed on behalf of GSFC University by Prof. (Dr.) G. R. Sinha, Provost, while Dr. Nhan Cẩm Trí, Vice President, University of Economics and Finance, represented UEF.
The partnership is expected to particularly benefit students of GSFC University’s School of Management & Entrepreneurship by opening pathways for semester exchange programmes, international internships, academic interaction and knowledge exchange.
Connecting management education with emerging technologies
The collaboration will provide exposure to interdisciplinary areas including Management, Entrepreneurship, Finance, FinTech and Artificial Intelligence, alongside the integration of technology with business and management.
By combining classroom learning with international academic and industry exposure, the initiative aims to broaden students’ perspectives, encourage cross-cultural engagement and help them understand business and management practices in a global context.
Semester exchanges and internships are among the opportunities envisaged under the partnership, enabling students to engage with different academic environments and gain insights beyond their regular university experience.
Joint research, faculty interaction on the agenda
The MoU also opens avenues for faculty interaction, joint research initiatives, AI-focused research and innovation, joint academic programmes, workshops and knowledge-sharing activities between the two institutions.
The emphasis on emerging technologies and interdisciplinary research creates scope for academic engagement at the intersection of business, finance and technology, including AI-driven innovation and technology-enabled education.
Vietnam university delegation explores wider collaboration
The visit also included Dr. Bui Phan Anh Thu, Dean, HUTECH University, Vietnam, an existing MoU partner of GSFC University.
Discussions provided an opportunity to explore ways to advance the existing partnership through academic collaboration, student mobility, internships, interdisciplinary initiatives and joint research in emerging areas such as AI and technology-enabled education.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Registrar, Deans, Heads of Departments and Associate Deans of GSFC University, reflecting the institution’s continued efforts to strengthen global academic partnerships and create meaningful international opportunities for its students.
