Before the uniform, comes the test of character; before the battlefield, the test of endurance. For hundreds of young aspirants across Saurashtra, Kutch and neighbouring regions, the road to an Army career will turn into a demanding test of speed, strength, stamina and determination when the Army Recruiting Office (ARO), Jamnagar conducts its Agniveer Recruitment Rally at Bhavnagar next month.
The Agniveer Recruitment Rally will be held from September 3 to 11, 2026, at Sardar Patel Sports Complex, Bhavnagar, for eligible candidates from 13 districts of Gujarat and Diu Union Territory under the ARO Jamnagar region.
The rally will cover candidates from Jamnagar, Porbandar, Rajkot, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Junagadh, Surendranagar, Kutch, Gir Somnath, Botad, Morbi, Devbhumi Dwarka, Patan and Diu (UT).
The recruitment drive comes after the Common Entrance Examination stage, with shortlisted candidates moving on to the physical recruitment phase. The Indian Army’s Agniveer recruitment process includes physical fitness and measurement stages followed by further selection procedures.
Seven days of grit, one dream — the Indian Army
The physical recruitment phase will unfold district-wise, beginning with Surendranagar on September 3, followed by Patan, Rajkot and Amreli on September 4; Botad, Jamnagar and Junagadh on September 5; and Kutch and Gir Somnath on September 6.
On September 7, candidates from Devbhumi Dwarka and three Bhavnagar tehsils — Bhavnagar, Gariadhar and Ghogha — will report for Agniveer General Duty.
The following day, September 8, candidates from Bhavnagar, Jesar and Palitana tehsils, along with Porbandar, will participate.
The September 9 schedule will cover Morbi and four Bhavnagar tehsils — Mahuva, Talaja, Umrala and Vallabhipur.
The rally will then shift to candidates for specialised categories. Agniveer Technical candidates from all 13 districts and Diu UT will participate on September 10, along with Agniveer Tradesmen (8th Pass and 10th Pass) candidates.
September 11 has been earmarked for the medical examination of balance candidates.
The detailed district-wise scheduling follows the Army’s established practice of conducting recruitment rallies through the respective Army Recruiting Offices and grouping candidates by category and district. (The Indian Express)

Technical and Tradesmen doors open too
The Bhavnagar rally is not confined to General Duty aspirants. Opportunities will also be available for candidates seeking entry through the Agniveer Technical and Agniveer Tradesmen categories.
Candidates for Agniveer Technical from all districts under ARO Jamnagar and Diu UT are scheduled for September 10. The same day will also see participation by candidates for the Tradesmen categories requiring 8th and 10th standard qualification, as applicable.
The recruitment structure reflects the Army’s requirement for personnel with diverse operational, technical and support skills — extending the Agniveer opportunity beyond conventional combat roles.
Clerk/SKT aspirants have a separate date
Agniveer Clerk/Store Keeper Technical (Clerk/SKT) candidates from the ARO Jamnagar region will attend a separate recruitment rally under the aegis of ARO Nagpur.
The rally is scheduled for October 12, 2026, at Taluka Sports Complex, Visapur, District Chandrapur, Maharashtra.
Admit cards for shortlisted candidates for that rally were sent to their registered email addresses on August 10. Candidates have been advised to log in to the official Join Indian Army portal using their username and password to download their rally admit cards.
Those who have not received their admit cards have been advised to approach Army Recruiting Office, Jamnagar, before August 25.
